Kum & Go L.C., which operates more than 400 convenience stores in 11 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming) has opened a new store in Idaho Springs, Colo.
The 3,400-square-foot store took only 102 days to construct and is located at Miner & 13th Avenue in Idaho Springs.
The general public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and grand opening at the new Kum & Go today, Friday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. City and school officials will be in attendance and Kum & Go will present Carlson Elementary School with a $2,000 donation for new technology to be used by students and faculty. Kum & Go also will offer free Java Ridge coffee and cappuccino from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The new store features twelve conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, unleaded plus, premium and diesel fuels. In addition to offering quality gasoline, Kum & Go stores feature a wide selection of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches and Nuclear Energy Drinks. The Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name in its stores.
Customers can expect friendly and helpful associates, a well-kept store and reasonable prices. “We want Kum & Go to become Idaho Springs’s store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between,” Krause said.
As part of Kum & Go’s commitment to developing environmentally-friendly building and operating practices, the new Idaho Springs store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.
