Wilson Farms stores across New York State are ready to ring in the holiday season with “Bells of Hope,” a month-long fundraiser to support The Salvation Army.
Beginning today, Dec. 9, through Jan. 2, Wilson Farms customers may purchase miniature red Salvation Army bells for $1 at any of the chain’s 189 stores.
These miniature keepsakes make perfect holiday decorations and all proceeds raised during the “Bells of Hope” fundraiser benefit The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army provides food, shelter, clothing, job training, and many other services to people in need throughout the year.
“This holiday season we are asking our customers to help us play an active role in the community by purchasing a miniature Salvation Army bell at any of our 189 locations throughout the state,” said Paul Nanula, president and CEO of Wilson Farms. “At Wilson Farms, it’s important for us to support local nonprofit organizations and we are happy to partner with The Salvation Army, an organization that is always ready to lend their aid when our community is in need. The generosity of our community always impresses me and we hope that through the spirit of giving this holiday season our customers will continue to lend a hand for this great cause.”
“The Salvation Army exists to offer hope for a better life by meeting basic human needs,” said Sara Bialy, special events coordinator for Salvation Army’s Buffalo Area Services. “It is because of the generosity of Western New Yorkers and corporations such as Wilson Farms that we are able to help the less fortunate in our community and we are so grateful for the kindness and support of our community throughout the holidays.”
