More CNG fueling stations expected at Love’s locations around the U.S.
Oklahoma City, Okla.-based Chesapeake Energy Corp. and Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores are partnering to open a new public compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, reported Oklahoma City’s NewsChannel4.
The CNG station at a Love’s store on State Highway 3 in downtown Kingfisher , Okla., opened Friday. Given the terms of the agreement, Love’s owns and operates the station and the station will serve Chesapeake’s CNG-powered truck fleet.
Chesapeake Energy Corp., a national, independent natural gas producers, has converted almost all 700 of its fleet vehicles in Oklahoma to run on CNG.
Jenny Love Meyer, the vice president of marketing for Oklahoma City-based Love’s, which operates more than 140 travel stops and country stores across the U.S., noted the c-store chain aims to add more CNG stations at other Love’s locations in Oklahoma and around the U.S.
