Tedeschi Food Shops today announced that it has hired Bob Goodwin to join its retail team as the company’s director of fresh foods. Goodwin will oversee all facets of food service including the commissary, TD’s Deli, fresh meat and poultry, freshly baked goods, produce and flowers, and hot and cold dispensed beverages.
Having spent 42 years in the supermarket industry, Goodwin brings a great deal of passion, knowledge, and experience to Tedeschi Food Shops. He started his career at Star Market, which was later acquired by Shaw’s Supermarkets, and went on to hold various titles including director of store operations, vice president and general manager of wild harvest, vice president of merchandising support center store, and, most recently, director of perishables.
“As we continue to grow our fresh food product lines, Bob will undoubtedly play an instrumental role in introducing innovative ideas, finding creative solutions, and positioning Tedeschi Food Shops as an industry leader in food service,” said Joe Hamza, Tedeschi’s vice president of sales and marketing.
Tedeschi operates 190 convenience stores in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut, and has more than $600 million in annual revenue.
