Chester’s opening at Love’s Travel Stop in Williston, N.D.
Chester’s is celebrating passing the 2,000 store milestone with its newest location at the Love’s Travel Stop in Williston, N.D., which is set to open Thursday, Nov. 15.
In 1952, W.O Giles founded the Chester’s business, which initially used his patented deep fryers for donuts, and then later for fried chicken. Six decades on, Chester’s now serves customers its signature menu worldwide having experienced tremendous growth under the leadership of W.O. Giles’ son, Ted Giles, current president and CEO.
“Reaching this milestone is a testament to the dedication and efforts of the entire Chester’s team. I am thrilled to share in the continued growth of the Chester’s brand,” Giles said.
As any Chester’s fan knows, a celebration is not a celebration without Chester the Chick. First introduced in 1965, Chester the Chick will lead the festivities in Williston—greeting customers, posing for photographs and signing autographs. Located on U.S. Highway 85 just north of Williams County Road, Chester’s newest Love’s location will be serving the full Chester’s menu in a setting that will offer customers both a game room and dine-in seating.
Deliciously crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, Chester’s hand breaded fried chicken and chicken tenders are cooked to golden perfection. A variety of classic side dishes will also be featured on the Williston menu, including signature potato wedges, coleslaw, fried okra and fried corn. And don’t forget the sauce! Chester’s signature dipping sauces are the perfect complement to delicious chicken.
Since becoming Chester’s first franchisee in 2004, Love’s has played a key role in helping expand the Chester’s footprint. Today Love’s operates over 50 franchised Chester’s locations across the United States.
“From the beginning of the Love’s and Chester’s partnership, Chester’s has brought great brand recognition and an outstanding product to each of our partner locations. Congratulations to the Chester’s organization on reaching this milestone. We are excited to be part of the celebration,” remarked Joe Cotton, director of restaurant services with Love’s Travel Stops.
“Our partnership with Love’s Travel Stops is great for the continued growth of the Chester’s brand,” said James Venable, vice president of store operations with Chester’s International. “The Love’s motto of Clean Places, Friendly Faces combined with Chester’s great tasting, fried chicken makes Williston a welcome stop on the road.”
