Positions available include chefs, truck drivers and distribution center packers.
Sheetz held a job fair Wednesday to fill more than 100 positions available at its new distribution plant in Burlington, N.C., WFMY News 2 Online reported.
The jobs are sure to give a much needed boost to the area. North Carolina’s unemployment rate stands at 6.2%.
The new plant is located on Whites Kennel Road and is currently under construction
Sheetz conducted interviews for available positions that will begin in September. Those positions include truck drivers, Sheetz Brothers Kitchen chefs and distribution center packers.
Sheetz human resources manager Allison Newcomer told WFMY News 2 that the company will continue to hire throughout the year until all positions are filled.
