Expands district manager team to manage growth.

Parker’s has named Wayne Reed as District Manager. In his new position, Reed will oversee the company’s six stores in Beaufort County, South Carolina, part of Parker’s 36 stores in Georgia and the Lowcountry.

“We are excited to welcome Wayne to the Parker’s family,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos. “He brings a tremendous wealth of experience to our company as we expand our team of district managers to oversee our growing number of stores.”

Previously, Reed spent 12 years with The Pantry Inc., which is one of the U.S’s largest convenience store groups, serving as a district manager with full P&L responsibility for 12 travel centers. He has also worked with E-Z Convenience Stores, headquartered in Montgomery, Ala.

Prior to The Pantry, he worked with AIM and Castforce, companies which help connect independent retail merchandisers to America’s leading retailers, and assisted with planogram strategies for displaying products at major national chains such as Wal-Mart, CVS, Office Depot and Winn Dixie.

Before entering the convenience store industry, Reed served in the U.S. Army, rising to First Sergeant, responsible for a Headquarters company of 180 men and women. He holds a Bachelor of Science- Business Administration from Tampa College, Clearwater, Fla.
