Healthy food options, hot beverage variety and $100 million in facility upgrades to greet Pilot customers.
Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America, is launching a fresh brand identity, invigorating its commitment to improving life on the road for professional drivers.
The initiative includes offering customers a variety of healthy food selections, a high-quality collection of hot beverages offerings and $100 million in facility upgrades, all aimed at leading to an overall improved customer experience.
“Providing convenience, quality and outstanding customer service is the cornerstone of our mission, said Whitney Haslam Johnson, director of brand and customer experience at Pilot Flying J. “Our primary goal is to always serve our customers with excellence, so when they asked for upgrades to our facilities and healthier food options, we were happy to deliver.”
Shower upgrades include larger showers, improved lighting, Italian tile, additional hooks to hang and store personal items and custom-designed benches for seating. New restrooms features include new tile finishes, low water consumption fixtures including toilets and faucets, touchless hand dryers and LED light fixtures aimed at providing a greater level of comfort during travel stops.
The company has also expanded its network this year, opening 11 new stores and expanding its fuel network to an additional 18 locations. With more than 650 stores, Pilot Flying J is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America, making it easy for drivers to find locations convenient on their route.
To make healthy food choices more readily available, select locations feature PJ Fresh Marketplaces with fresh, healthy and high-quality meal choices including home-style meatloaf and roasted chicken. Additionally, Pilot and Flying J locations feature coffeehouse-quality beverages, such as “The Best Coffee on the Interstate,” in eight flavors including Brazilian and Hazelnut; cappuccino; iced coffee and hot chocolate.
An additional tool the company offers to help make life on the road better for drivers includes an app that helps oversee time management. The MyPilot app allows drivers to plan trips by displaying Pilot and Flying J locations between point A and point B on any driving route.
