“Sheetz is experiencing a lot of growth companywide and we have done a tremendous amount of growth in the North Carolina market,” says Sheetz spokesperson.
Sheetz opened two new locations in Winston-Salem and Lexington, N.C., on March 11.
The stores give people in Winston-Salem and Lexington a new location for great food and drinks. The celebration included customer giveaways, food, drinks, games and free coffee for a limited time at the new location.
On March 11, 2015, employees at the Winston-Salem cut the ribbon and opened the doors at 10 a.m., while employees at Lexington cut a ribbon and opened the doors at 1 p.m. together with locals, city and county officials. The grand openings took place at the new stores, located at 5230 Beauchamp Lane in Winston-Salem and 2350 South Main Street in Lexington, N.C.
“Sheetz is experiencing a lot of growth companywide and we have done a tremendous amount of growth in the North Carolina market,” said Ryan Sheetz, director of brand strategy. “North Carolina is a great fit for us. We opened our 500th store in Thomasville and opened a second distribution center in Burlington last November. Sheetz has a great base of loyal customers here and we thrilled to be a part of the communities in North Carolina.”
The new stores will feature the same award-winning MTO food menu as all other Sheetz locations and will each create 30 new full and part-time jobs.
During Wednesday’s celebration attendees will enjoy free food, drinks, games and chances for customers to win dozens of prizes. “We try to make all of our openings fun for everyone with lots of activities, games and samples of Sheetz food and drinks,” Sheetz said.
As part of the grand opening, Sheetz will make a donation of $2500 to Special Olympics North Carolina, a cause that is valued by the company and employees. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of the Special Olympics for more than 20 years with both financial and product support as well as providing event volunteers.
Sheetz is deeply committed to the communities each store serves. The Sheetz For the Kidz annual holiday event has provided more than 85,000 underprivileged children with new toys, clothes and necessities each holiday season since 1992. Sheetz partners with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, sending over 40 families of seriously ill children on dream vacations to Disney World each year. In addition, Sheetz partners with the Special Olympics and a local food bank in communities where Sheetz is located, donating time, food and funds.
The new Sheetz stores will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will offer fresh food such as Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more. The new stores will also feature MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista where customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas—hot, frozen or iced.
