Eby-Brown has appointed a new vice president of foodservice strategy and education.
Mathew Mandeltort has been appointed vice president of foodservice strategy and education for Eby-Brown Co. LLC., effective immediately.
Prior to accepting his new position, Mandeltort was the corporate foodservice manager.
In his new position, Mandeltort will be responsible for providing the strategic direction of all Eby-Brown foodservice programs and creating a cohesive brand and marketing strategy that enhances Eby-Brown’s existing position as a best-in-class national foodservice provider.
“Since he joined our team, Mat has exuded passion for the category, sharing his vast experience to make our foodservice programs second to none in the industry. Mat’s extensive foodservice knowledge and enthusiasm for the category have been instrumental in creating even greater foodservice value for our customers,” said Joe Roenna, executive vice president of merchandising, procurement and inventory management.

Mandeltort has been with Eby-Brown since January 2014, and has over 30 years of experience in foodservice operations. Prior to his time at Eby-Brown, Mandeltort worked with industry leaders such as Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and Marriott Hotels & Resorts. In addition, Mandeltort worked as a consultant for Technomic, a research and consulting firm servicing the food and foodservice industry. He stays active in the industry sharing his experiences through publications, event presentations and his social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
