The association has chosen an experienced, seasoned industry veteran to lead the organization at this important time.
Effective Jan. 25, 2016, Paul Hardin will assume the role of president of the Texas Food & Fuel Association.
In his new position, Hardin will will lead the organization and continue its mission to serve as an advocate for the petroleum marketing and convenience retail industries in Texas.
Hardin, 45, is a 20-year veteran in association management. Since 2009 he served as executive director and CEO of the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA). Under Hardin’s leadership, the TPTA grew its membership by 90% and its reserves by 321%. He is a certified association executive and has served in numerous capacities within associations. Each role called on his diverse set of skills, including: strategic planning, collaborative marketing, staff development and creating and nurturing strategic alliances with vendor communities – leading non-dues revenue programs for the country’s largest state hospital and medical associations. Hardin is also a former staff member of the Texas Grocery & Convenience Association (TGCA), which merged with the Texas Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (TPCA) in 2012, forming what is known today as the Texas Food & Fuel Association.
“Over two decades, Paul has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational and financial accomplishments,” said Rick Golman, chairman of the board. “He brings to this position a strong reputation for developing relationships with members. His experience in all facets of association management will be a valuable asset as we continue to accelerate growth through the coming years. Paul is representative of the high standards we have set for the organization, and I could not be more pleased about his appointment to this critical role at this important time.”
