travel centers of america logoTravelCenters’ StayFit program aims to help professional drivers stay healthy.

In the New Year, TravelCenters of America LLC, operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, will offer professional drivers new helpful options to lead healthier lifestyles.

TravelCenters now offers more better-for-you food offerings, fitness options and helpful information from their StayFit program to encourage drivers to get fit and stay healthy this New Year.

“We’re committed and proud to help our customers manage their health and be an integral part of their solution to eating better and exercising while they are out on the road,” said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters.

Drivers can find a wide variety of StayFit items and activities throughout the travel centers. Healthier Grab ‘N Go snacks like Vitamin Water, yogurt and Good2Go fresh fruit and veggie cups. There are also many satisfying dining options noted with the StayFit symbol on select full-service restaurant menus at participating TA and Petro locations.

StayFit exercise options include fitness rooms, walking/running trails (maps available at most locations), basketball hoops and outdoor fitness areas at many locations – all offered at no cost to customers. In addition, many sites now offer horseshoe and bean bag toss recreation options allowing professional drivers the ability to foster a sense of community and respect with one another, while getting in some light exercise. To play, equipment will be loaned free of charge to drivers from the Travel Store counter.

Drivers who prefer to work out in their cabs can purchase from a wide selection of fitness accessories like push up bars, resistance bands, hand grips and workout gloves, from the travel stores.

TravelCenters now offers 24 businesses geared toward servicing various medical needs of professional drivers. TravelCenters, or in some cases, a franchisee of TravelCenters, leases space for these purposes to third parties that are not affiliated with TravelCenters. TravelCenters does not provide any medical related services or conduct any medical-related services or businesses.
