Dedication to serving the community has earned Stewart’s Shops recognition.
On Jan. 22, the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce awarded the ‘Industry of the Year Award’ to Stewart’s Shops. This award recognizes a business for positive contribution to economic growth and well-being of the region.
In 2015 Stewart’s Shops built four brand new shops across Fulton County, N.Y. and Montgomery County, N.Y. to replace existing ones.
New buildings were also constructed in Northville, Palatine Bridge, Fort Plain and Johnstown, N.Y. The new Johnstown, N.Y. building replaced a building that sat vacant for decades. Plus, in 2014 the company also moved to a new, larger location in Perth, N.Y. Stewart’s Shops is also continuing to remodel and improve its existing stores to serve customers even better.
The company takes pride in giving back to the communities it serves by donating to local charities at Grand Opening events and throughout the year. Next month, Stewart’s Shops will be recognized for its contribution to the new outpatient pavilion at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.
Stewart’s Shops and related family foundations support local charities, donating $7.5 million annually.
