Quality State Oil is leaving the convenience store business in order to focus its efforts on the wholesale fuel business.
TravelCenters of America LLC has officially completed the acquisition of 17 Wisconsin convenience stores from Quality State Oil. Formerly branded Q Marts, these 17 stores will be branded as Minit Mart convenience stores. In addition to the rebranding, the stores will undergo a number of improvements in the coming months.
Quality State Oil’s roots date back 60 years beginning as a one fuel oil delivery business. In 1988 the company was purchased by Greg Bultman who grew the business into the thriving business it is today with 17 convenience stores and over 50 convenience store owners purchasing fuel from Quality State Oils wholesale fuel division.
Quality State Oil is exiting only the retail convenience store business and is remaining in the wholesale fuel business, which it plans to continue to grow.
