Delaware County’s, Pa.-based drive-through market now offering good-for-you options with help from a local dietitian.
Swiss Farms, the Delaware County-based drive-through market, is welcoming customers with fresh, new lifestyle-focused, good-for-you food choices curated by local dietitian, Audrey Hasse. In addition to the indulgent and nostalgic favorites, Swiss Farms now gives customers a more convenient way to shop for the healthier groceries they need and want to bring home.
Tasty, fresh, hand crafted dishes enable shoppers to pick up a meal for the entire family on the way home or several meals, if planning ahead for a busy week. Swiss Farms teamed up with local partners, A Casa Pizza for the best bake at home Stromboli, fresh cut fruit from Kegel’s Produce and Swiss Premium for farm fresh, locally supplied milk and teas.
Groceries and prepared meals can also be ordered in advance either on the Swiss Farms Website or via the new Swiss Farms app. Whether providing healthy snacks for the little league baseball team, breakfast on the go, grabbing tailgating essentials or picking up all the easy ingredients for a wholesome lunch or dinner, Swiss Farms’ new product line up lets shoppers have the ease and convenience they have come to expect from the drive-through market but now with more healthier options.
New products to start the day off right include Van’s Waffles, Yo Kids Yogurt, Food for Life English Muffins and Cascadia Farms cereals. Frozen lunches and dinners by Amy’s and Alexia allow customers to get a quick bite and forego fast-food restaurants. Snacks from Annie’s Homegrown, Garden of Eatin’, Stacy’s, Pirate’s Booty, Deep River Snacks, BoomChikaPop, and Sabre will satisfy any munching needs. High protein on-the-go snacks like Krave Jerky and Creative Snacks Trail Mix will keep shoppers fueled.
As a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer, Audrey Hasse was integral in developing the new product offerings to ensure they are delicious, meet culinary guidelines and celebrate local favorites. As Hasse carefully chooses the products that stock the shelves she will offer conscientious and practical advice to help Swiss Farms customers achieve a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Audrey’s nutrition philosophy is simple: Eating should be fun. And by balancing new, good-for-you products with local, indulgent favorites—it is. Hasse developed a quick and easy strawberry smoothie recipe with healthy ingredients available at Swiss Farms to start your day or as a quick snack.
“I remember driving through Swiss Farms as a kid and I know that it holds a special place in people’s lives in our area. Customers today are more informed than ever about the ingredients in the foods they’re buying and how food choices affect their health. That’s why Swiss Farms is committed to offering wholesome foods, you feel good about eating while supporting local businesses” said Hasse.
Customers can expect more improvements from Swiss Farms over the next several months including expanded product offerings, easier online ordering, improved signage and lifestyle food categories ranging from After School Snacks to Entertaining, Finals Crash Kit and Store to Shore.
