Through a partnership with f’real foods, Rutter’s plans to install more than 80 B4 blenders.
Rutter’s Farm Stores has partnered with f’real foods to upgrade its blending system.
The partnership began as a test in 2008 and has since become a foundational offering in Rutter’s stores.
Rutter’s announced it will be replacing its f’real first-generation B2 blenders with f’real’s revolutionary new B4 touchscreen blenders. Beginning in Spring 2016, more than 80 B4 blenders will be installed across over 60 Rutter’s locations in order to maximize its frozen beverage sales, which is a growth category in the c-store industry, according to IRI market research.
“The decision to reinvest with f’real foods was simple,” said Chuck Moyer, food service category manager at Rutter’s. “We recently ran a test with the new B4 technology and quickly realized that we would see a significant return on our investment as a result of the added features that the technology offered. It was obvious that these improvements will indefinitely contribute to increased cup sales while cutting labor and maintenance costs.”
The features of the B4 blender include a digital touchscreen, ground-breaking self-sanitization system and the patented Service Alert self-diagnostics platform. CEO of f’real foods, Dinsh Guzdar, detailed “that self-sanitization is a significant upgrade that can dramatically increase blender uptime, as it doesn’t require extensive manual cleaning or the dismantling of equipment—just a daily surface wipe down.”
The Service Alert platform is connected directly to f’real’s customer support center allowing immediate diagnostics checks, notifications and on-demand troubleshooting, which drastically reduces downtime and lost cup sales.
Rutter’s B4 upgrade is yet another investment in f’real’s program and one that will continue to build velocity and long-term profitability. With accelerated growth and acceptance by the trade, f’real foods’ greatest priority is establishing longterm partnerships with all of its valued retail partners, which has propelled its category leadership as a result of engaging, profitable programs with a product marked as the convenience consumer favorite, according to IRI c-store sales data for the 52 weeks ending Dec. 27, 2015.
f’real foods is a San Francisco Bay Area company that created a revolutionary way in which to deliver milkshakes, smoothies and frozen coffee products with its patented in-store blending system.
