Newly integrated Palm POS with NBS technology offers the highest level of protection available for petro retailers.

National Bankcard Services Inc. (NBS) and The Pinnacle Corp. have now jointly completed and certified the integration between the Pinnacle Palm POS and the NBS payment processing host.

This newly combined solution is compliant with Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV), a global standard for credit payment cards based on chip card technology.

Currently in live beta-testing at multiple locations, Pinnacle’s Palm POS with NBS provides petro retailers with the highest level of protection available against card-present data fraud and will accept EMV chip-cards for indoor transactions with EMV approved Ingenico payment terminals.

“Development and rollout of EMV POS and payment solutions for our clients continues at a rapid pace and we are happy to achieve this milestone with NBS,” said Denise Lewis, POS and Payments product manager at Pinnacle. “For existing Palm POS clients, no new POS hardware is required; the upgrade to the POS and NBS software can even be installed remotely.”
