The Strive Reduced Emissions Fuel program is now expanding into Big Spring, Texas.
ALON Brands and GreenPrint LLC have partnered with The Arbor Day Foundation, affiliates of Keep America Beautiful and other partners to expand the Strive Reduced Emissions Fuel program to Big Spring, Texas. The expansion into Big Spring, Texas will begin on October 12, 2016.
Strive is the first sustainability program of its kind in West Texas, and can be found at over 110 ALON 7-Eleven gas stations across Midland and Odessa, Texas; Lubbock, Texas; and Albuquerque, N.M.
ALON 7-Eleven’s commitment to the environment is doing great things in its local communities.
The Strive Fuel program allows ALON’s customers to support their local communities and environment by reducing their tailpipe emissions just by filling up their gas tanks at ALON 7-Eleven. For every gallon of gas sold at ALON 7-Eleven participating locations, ALON plants trees in local parks and neighborhoods and invests in carbon reduction projects to neutralize harmful emissions by up to 30%.
In a recent publication by IRI, John McIndoe, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, shared one of the top three ways in which marketers can establish and grow individual relationships with customers.
“They need a relentless focus on bringing new value to customers not only from a price perspective, but from product benefits, convenience and an overall shopping experience,” McIndoe stated.
Strive aims to do just that, by enhancing ALON’s exceptional brand value, and by creating connections with ALON’s customers by promoting sustainability, community and feeling good about the fuel they choose to pump in the most convenient way possible.
“As West Texas is home for us at ALON, our goal is to continue to be innovative thinkers and focus our efforts around being different than the competitor across the street. We’re able to do that by giving back to our communities and neutralizing emissions through the Strive program,” said Jonathan Ketchum, senior vice president of ALON Brands.
The Strive Reduced Emissions Fuel program has already neutralized over 55 million pounds of carbon dioxide and equivalent greenhouse gasses and has planted over 6,000 trees since the program’s launch last year.
