7-Eleven Celebrates the World Series

7-eleven 125Special offers for Cleveland and Chicago fans at local 7-Eleven convenience stores help celebrate the World Series.

Beginning Oct. 26, 7-Eleven, Inc. has introduced some historic offers for the hometown fans of the two baseball teams making history this October.

This year’s ultimate baseball match-up is a very big deal for both Cleveland and Chicago. Historic, even as it has been 108 years since Chicago’s oldest baseball team won the title, and 68 since Cleveland did.

Chicago
7-Eleven stores in the greater Chicagoland area will offer a Big Bite hot dog and Big Gulp soft drink for $1.08 until a winner is crowned.

Cleveland
7-Eleven stores in Cleveland will offer a Big Bite hot dog for 68 cents for the run of the series.

Both Cities
FREE Coffee! Since fans will no doubt be up late on game days, either celebrating or commiserating, 7-Eleven is offering a free medium cup of coffee on the day after each game. The free cup will be available for 24 hours (12 midnight to 11:59 p.m.).

When Cleveland last won the October classic, 7-Eleven was only 21 years old with a handful of stores in Texas. And when Chicago’s North Side team last won in 1908, there weren’t any 7-Eleven stores at all … but there were hot dogs. Today, 7-Eleven has approximately 350 stores in the Chicago area and almost 100 in Cleveland.

“You can also find fan favorite merchandise, so you can grab and go your home team’s gear for the game,” said Jesus Delgado-Jenkins, 7-Eleven chief merchandising officer.

Besides hot dogs and beverages, 7-Eleven stores have what sports fans needs to celebrate and keep the celebration going—pizza, wings, snacks, ice, sports team merchandise, phone chargers and more.

“Today, baseball and hot dogs go together like, well Big Bites and Big Gulps at 7-Eleven,” said Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation. “This year’s baseball playoffs are extra special for the hundreds of thousands of loyal fans who have been waiting decades for this. We want to join this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of America’s pastime with a great offer on some of America’s favorite 7-Eleven products.”
