NOCO Express customers donate to fight blood cancers.
NOCO Express in September hosted an in-store campaign, through which NOCO Express customers donated $14,309 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Western & Central New York Chapter.
NOCO Express customers had the opportunity to make a $1 donation at any of the company’s 39 locations throughout September.
“Thank you to both our customers and our employees who have raised more than $100,000 over the past six years to support ongoing research and services for those who are fighting blood cancers here in Western New York,” said Michael Bradley, chief financial officer and senior vice president, NOCO.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Western & Central New York Chapter serves more than 5,000 local patients who have been touched by the blood cancers leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Funds raised are spent locally on vital blood cancer research and much needed patient aid and services.
“We are so appreciative of our continued partnership with NOCO, and the support of their stores and associates for fundraising during Blood Cancer Awareness Month,” said Kathleen Davis, senior campaign manager, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Western & Central New York Chapter. “The nearly $15,000 raised by the stores will directly benefit patients and families affected by blood cancer in the Western New York area by funding research and patient access services to allow for the best possible quality of life for those affected by blood cancers.”
