General Mills has appointed Sheila Gallagher as general manager of its Convenience Channels, the company said.
In her new role, Gallagher is responsible for General Mills’ business in key segments, including convenience stores, vending, non-food retailers and General Mills’ restaurant accounts segment.
Prior to her new role, Gallagher was senior director of restaurant accounts in the company’s Bakeries and Foodservice division.
She joined General Mills in 1987 as a sales representative in the Pacific Northwest and has held various sales, marketing and finance positions of increasing responsibility since then. She earned her bachelor’s in English from Lewis & Clark University in Portland, Ore.
General Mills Foodservice sells a wide array of high-quality products to operators in the foodservice, c-store and restaurant channels, delivering consistent quality and proven performance through its branded products, which include: Cheerios, Yoplait yogurt, Nature Valley granola bars, Gold Medal baking mixes, Pillsbury biscuits and other sweet goods. The division generates more than $1.8 billion in annual sales.
