Lottery Industry Expands Reach

New agreement hopes to bring consumers a new, enjoyable lottery experience.

InComm and Scientific Games Corp. have entered into an agreement to bring new lottery gift card product offerings to consumers in North America.

The agreement expands the lottery industry’s reach into many new distribution channels like chain pharmacy, big box and general merchandise stores. The agreement also allows retailers to market and sell lottery gift cards together with traditional gift cards for the first time.

“This is an exciting relationship for both companies,” said Brooks Smith, president and CEO of InComm. “Our collaboration provides us the opportunity to deliver innovative and secure payment options that help consumers and increase the reach of lotteries supporting worthy causes throughout North America.”

Scientific Games introduced the first secure, instant lottery game in 1974. Providing games, technology and services to more than 150 lotteries around the world, the company’s key goal is to create entertaining gaming and lottery experiences.

“Our agreement with InComm is another milestone in our commitment to delivering diverse lottery products that are convenient and safe,” said Pat McHugh, senior vice president of North American Lottery Systems for Scientific Games. “Through this agreement, we’re leveraging state-of-the-art solutions, technology and product innovation to create a new lottery experience consumers will enjoy.”
