Sunoco grand opening in Fort Wayne, Ind. helps fuel the fight against breast cancer.

Mac Food Mart recently hosted a Fuel the Fight Against Breast Cancer Event at the Grand Opening of the new Fort Wayne, Ind. Sunoco gas station. Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 17, Mac Food Mart donated 10 cents for every gallon of gas sold at the event.

The new Sunoco station is located at the corner of Washington Center Road and US 33.

This event is more than a fund-raiser. Mac Food Mart also provided pamphlets and informative guides about breast cancer and early detection for all those interested.

In the spirit of providing more than a fundraiser, Mac Food Mart made the event a party in celebration of survivors. Freebies and discounts on Mac Food Mart merchandise were available on site.

“We chose to celebrate our grand opening by giving to a greater cause because the fight against breast cancer is near and dear to our Mac Food Mart family’s hearts,” said Ray McIntosh, McIntosh Energy president.
