While it may seem highly efficient to put your employment application form on your website, the truth is that about 60% of the people who start the process drop out because it’s too difficult and/or too time-consuming.
Are you tracking your drop outs versus completions? If you find you’re losing more applicants than is acceptable; simplify, simplify, simplify.
The people you most want to hire are not the unemployed and looking, but the gainfully employed who don’t have a lot of time to spend on a job search.
Only then, once you’ve gathered a pool of well-qualified applicants, is it time to make the job hard to get.
