With MuleSoft platform, the Knoxville, Tenn.-based retailer has been able to deliver new features to our guests, including mobile payment and real-time parking availability data to professional drivers.
Pilot Flying J has been awarded MuleSoft’s 2018 Tech Innovator Award for most transformative customer experience. The award was presented recently in San Jose at MuleSoft Connect 2018.
MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform allows Pilot Flying J to securely build and share APIs with external partners, as well as experiment with new technology, to provide a frictionless experience for our professional drivers and traveling motorists when visiting its more than 750 locations. The platform increases Pilot Flying J’s developer productivity by allowing the company to quickly and securely integrate systems that deliver new capabilities, as well as improve speed to market.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Through the mobile app, Pilot Flying J can provide utility, safety, comfort, and convenience to professional drivers. Using the app, drivers can easily reserve lodging, book showers, find fuel, view parking space availability, get rewards through the innovative myRewards program, and more.
MuleSoft’s technology enables Pilot Flying J to offer its patrons:
- Live Parking updates as well as information on its Prime Parking offering (reserved parking)
- Mobile Fueling & In-app receipts
- Shower reservations
- Loyalty – including myReward points and myOffers
- Partner integrations, such as with Transflo (ELD devices)
Ultimately, eight winners in various categories were selected based their ability to show return on investment (ROI), anecdotal and qualitative results, and examples of business transformation.
In early May, Salesforce announced it had completed its acquisition of MuleSoft, the provider of one of the world’s leading platforms for building application networks.
