Wolf Spirit Distillery launched Puncher’s Chance 100% Kentucky Straight Bourbon in September 2020, mid-pandemic. After only four full months of sales, the independent brand already shipped more than 10,000 six-bottle cases, as well as 30 private barrels at cask strength.
A marriage of four-, five-, and six-year-old Kentucky Straight bourbons, Puncher’s Chance leads with caramel flavors backed by spicy, slightly sweet and creamy vanilla notes. The complex, oaky palate shows sweetness alongside orange, dark chocolate, leather, and baking spices. The finish is long with maple and sugar notes. With suggested retail pricing of $34.99 and packed six to a case, 90-proof Puncher’s Chance is currently distributed in 20 states, with many more set to launch in Q1 2021.
